Prints, Patterns & Fabrics: Argyle

If it's not knitted with an Argyle pattern then it's not a golf sweater. This iconic pattern derives from the tartan of the Clan Campbell and was popularised for golfwear by Pringle of Scotland. Ideal for golf sweaters, socks, picnic rugs and so on.

Unlike Madras, Argyle does not look good when used for blazers or shirts and should be reserved for knitwear. If you have a family tartan then consider using this for your Argyle (Preps all have some Scottish ancestors somewhere in their family tree - use it no matter how tenuous the link might be)!

Needless to say, Amazon stocks a huge supply of socks, sweaters and more with the Argyle pattern.
