Chunky, cosy, classy and very difficult to play in... I absolutely adore these jumpers. Whether for cricket or tennis, these sweaters look great and keep you warm in cooler weather. They complete your look and dress up your whites for more suitable attire when you adjourn to the clubhouse bar after a lengthy match.
Always stick with white or a very light cream colour and an elegant cable knit design (possibly your family's design - see Aran Sweaters). Typically these jumpers are trimmed with contrasting colours (usually your club colours) for a sporty yet sophisticated finish.
Sleeveless tank-top versions are better for tennis, (Fred Perry produces a great ramge of both long-sleeved and sleeveless) and long-sleeved versions are great for a cool day on the crease, such as these from the infamous cricket outfitters Gunn & Moore.
